Spring Begins

In the stillness that is inherent in the space of presence

In the silence that is intrinsic to the one true moment of now 

May I recognize the true heart essence of compassion

That is no different than the immediacy of awareness

May I recognize this formless essence as the wellspring of all positive qualities

As no different than the inherent nature of my being 

Not needing maintenance or repair, allowance is the nature of awareness

Simply letting all mental phenomena collapse unto itself

May I become ever more aware of the deep seated joy and peace

That is not a product of any mental story

Not just sitting in meditation, but in all facets of my life

May I bring loving attentiveness to all activities and non-activities

The tolerable and intolerable, the challenging and mundane 

May I bring all into presence 

And be free of the one, who is looking to escape
